During the summer of 2025 we traveled to Italy and Croatia. Going back to Italy was a homecoming of sorts, as I lived in Tuscany in my mid-20’s. As I wandered around the small Tuscan hill town I had lived in, I found myself photographing corridors. So much has changed, yet the architecture that has been there for so long still remains. I returned to the fortress at the top of the town when I had photographed nudes in 2001 and found beautiful corridors. I continued this exploration in other Italian cities like Rome and Florence and in Split, Croatia.

I imagine the corridor as a metaphor of a journey towards a destination, or moving towards the ‘light’ of spiritual awakening.
